OneRopeOneHope helps Germany
Poverty – there is no such thing as poverty here! Wrong, there are people living among us who are affected by poverty and need our help. Homeless, without accommodation or income, in debt and without prospects and with fewer financial resources than the average population. Social exclusion and material deprivation are the social consequences. Children in particular suffer from inequality of opportunity and are caught in a spiral of worry and hopelessness.
We all know the images of old people searching through garbage cans for returnable bottles. Poverty in old age is tangible and present. Not having enough to live on despite decades of employment is a problem that should concern us all. Our young and old people – they are all part and parcel of our society. Only together can we limit this hardship.
